Independent Book Wholesaler Selects VISTA to Support Growth
Argosy Books to Utilize Hosted Fulfillment System and e-Commerce Capabilities
June 9, 2008 —VISTA, market leader in applications to support the publishing supply chain, is proud to announce that Argosy Books, Ireland’s only independent wholesaler, has selected VISTA’s fulfillment application in a hosted (AHS) environment to enhance the management of inventory and support electronic (EDI) ordering. To complement the system, Argosy will also implement VISTA’s e-commerce module to support their online warehouse.
Automating functions and having the scalability necessary to support the organization’s dynamic growth were the key drivers for Argosy’s move from their current stock management system. The wholesaler will:
- have access to EDI capabilities,
- offer customers improved online ordering, and
- promote customer self-service
These new capabilities for Argosy will make the organization’s workflows more efficient, increase convenience for customers, and enable a larger availability of titles.
